In the heart of San Francisco beat the hearts of the visitors of the 10th Styrian Ball higher. Trained by Manuela Papik German-, American- and Styrian couples dance performance, as well as SteirerSchuplattln and music with the "Knöpferlstreich" and "High Life" it was a glittering Styrian Ball night for all 250 guests at the Grand Hyatt. This anniversary ball was also a meeting of many prominent Styrians, such as the Mürztaler Gernot Wiedner, the newly appointed Consul General in Washington, with "Eisbaron" Charly Temmel or even with many Austrians who live in the USA and are extreme successful. Before the big night, gave Walter Plendner Women knowledge of the secrets about Styrian kitchen. The Styrian ball menu with delicacies,was created by the excellent executive chef Walter Plendner who has gained international awards during his career at the Marriott. This festival menu, which the chefs of the Hyatt Hotel cuisine prepared with a lot of love has been offered as a main course Beef tenderloin with red wine sauce with fresh mushrooms and polenta in Pumpkin seed crust. They were Styrian wines of Wolmuth served. More Surprises were brought by the president of the "Steirerballvereines" Heinz Habe. For all Styrian ball guests he brought the recently awarded "Schwindhackl Apfeltrüffel", Styrian pumpkin seed, Styrian pumpkin oil, and a CD.
